Land Side Comiso.
A documentary film by Nello La Marca, the director of “La terramadre”, presented at Berlinale in 2008 as the only feature-film representing Italy. Land Side Comiso tells a sicilian story, but in doing so it also explores universal topics. The airport of Comiso between past, present and future becomes the narrative box for thoughts about the relationship between space and time, history and territory.
Marc Augé, the great French anthropologist, with his “non-places” theory, inspires a documentary film that is both original and deep: a journey into the complexity of some of the central issues of contemporary world.
