The film portrays not only the pieces of art but also the locations: city of Cremona and landscape of the Pianura Padana. The viewer is encouraged to catch a glimpse of what inspired themes, feelings and mental attitudes of artists in Lombardia. The film tells the figurative revolution happened between 1500 and 1600 and its main actors – great Italian painters such as Leonardo, Foppa, Caravaggio, Campi and Ceruti.
